I think I saw all of your movies.
You took always an audio-file (some heroic-nonsense-action-movies preferred), record some fight scenes in Silkroad and cut. The result is always the same.

Maybe you cut all your videos to one big one? I think people wouldnt notice...

Then where the fuck is your suggestion for improvement? You are not helping him at all, brabbling that nonsense. It's not called criticize, it's called hating on someones work (you probably dream about making movies like that...), which took effort and didn't bring any profit with it.

You are just telling him what you disliked, that is not criticism. For those who never really criticized anybody, a little tutorial.

Step 1: Tell the one, you want to criticize, what he did good! (Will definately make him more available for suggestions!) (And don't even start with: "There is no positive thing..." Holy fuck if you really believe that, then you SHOULD just stop breathing!)
Step 2: Tell him what you didn't like so much and (Important part starts HERE how you would have liked it better.
Step 3: Check your text again. If you notice, that your level of intelligence is not high enough to post some real criticism, please just kill yourself and spare the world some really dumbass children.
Step 4: If you survived Step 3, finish with a nice closing.

What you do is NOT criticize, but HATE. You are hating on his video, not willing to give a real opinion about what he could do better. Then again, you talk like your opinion is the only one in the whole fucking world.
If you criticize something you have absolutely no real professional clue about, speak from your own perspective, using an introduction like: "In my opinion, you should've..." or "I think, you might want to...".
Unless you do that you have no fucking right to tell him what to do and what not to do, what so ever!

Then again, most of you are just repeating what the one above said... go build your own opinion. From what some of you wrote I get so fucking disgusted at the human race, especially germans.. STOP BEING SO FUCKING NEGATIVE ON EVERYTHING!

dear Wint.
i've been watching some of your videos, back in the days, when i used to play that game. i think i missed some, but i was watching this one and the last one now. you want some critics, here they come:

1. storytelling:
well, nothing new here. you really need to improve. this video has as much story as your last. you may have intentions, but you dont show them. the plot is casual. seen this so often, it becomes boring. try to get new ideas, take your time to write the plot. don't rush things.. tell a story... the sotryboard makes about 70% of a good movie.. i think there is very much possible with silkroad, i think you have the skills to do that.

2. cut
the cut is really good. you can always improve, but you did a good job with cutting the video. music, voice and scenes fitting togehter well, in the first 50% of the vid... the 2nd half (1:20 ++) doesn't look that good, but still okay.

3. effects
just one word: overload.
it's way too much, too different effects... reduce the effects. what you do atm is just hiding the lack of story behind shiny effects. as mentioned in number 2, the 2nd half of the movie needs improvement.
most annoying things are at 1:10 and 1:36 (especially the one at 1:36!)

4.text
it's really important to keep a clear structure. at 0:37 ++, you need to do it in a strict way.. either "to verb...", "To verb" or "to verb". you used all 3, where only one kind of it would be look way better. and sometimes you do a dot after a sentence, sometimes not. either do the dot everytime, or don't do it, isn't that hard but improves the quality very much (hope you understand what i am trying to say ^^)

5. format
there is a big screen, please use it, don't do these black borders upside and downside, or at least reduce them by half. there is no reason to have them.

thats all from me right now, hope you take it as what it is, i am really trying to help you.

P.S: 6 Hours is really not much time spent, you really should take more time.

First of all... Thank you Nachtara. You can really call that critic. The only thing that was disturbing me about your post is, that you wrote it in general, as if everyone else is thinking the same thing.
Please try to use something like: "I think...", "In my opinion...". Else you are really ruining the best post in this thread. You can't say that his videos have to many effects. That is just YOUR way of seeing things. I hope you know what I'm getting at.

Before I tell you this, please note that me and my parents were both born and raised in Germany. So no anti-German campaign here...

Why am I mentioning the germans... Let me check. The only thing 90% of the Germans do is whine and hate. I have been to Canada for 4 weeks. My whole way of seeing people changed in a drastic way.

First of all, old people (and I mean really old... like 65+), the only thing they are doing is complain about the youth and what they do... and they are drinking and destroying shit... bla bla
The second thing they do is make them do that shit! For example by calling the cops when you play basketball past 5 pm, so you will have to pay 75€ if you get caught.
Only thing that is available is either drinking or watching tv/playing MMO's.
Well... then, EVERY SINGLE GERMAN I know is complaining about shit like the school system, the tax system, uhh... don't give money to greece, uhh... get our soldiers back from afghanistan. bla bla
And then, when they really have the chance to change things they don't even vote?! around 50% of the germans went to the last election. The other 50% were just complaining.

This is still the internet and it is a Silkroad movie, made by someone within 6 hours. If you didn't like it/disliked some of the parts, then please say so. And don't say that it is bad. Because some people might think different.

By the way.. I think most of the Hollywood Directors learned basics about moviemaking and some of their movies still sucked (My opinion!).

this is still the internet i can write what i want, i am free as you are. the fact, that he spent 6 hours for a video does not change the video as it is.
i am not talking about hollywood directors (btw directors are not the ones, that film, cut and lay effects on movies).
i am not telling my point of view about the video. i just compared the video to some basic rules of videoediting and tried to give the creator some hints. no more no less.

max. 5 Secs. Intro (in the video lenght is more than 10 Minutes make 10 Secs. Intro) - i wont wait 5 hours for the main part
3x 3 Secs. PvP without any victim or build informations --> not good
I dont like outros (thats my own opinion)
I dont like BÄM-effects from Adobe Aftereffects or similiar Tools (Intro, outro, main part)
I like nice Jobvideos (15+ Trader/Hunter vs. 15+ Thiefs without asocial outside-ressers)
I like small stories (nothing special or new ... but coherent - and no "Manowar-phrases")
thats what i think and why i dont like the movie

And last but not least: of course i cant make better Videos - but i can rate cinema movies without producing one ... or dont?
I dont need to be able to make better movies - i can rate with my own opinion and taste.
The rating of movies has nothing equal with "who has the biggest penis".

realize, ich kritisiere in einem Forum wie ICH will. Sonst würd ich hier ja nur ein Beschwerdeformular XZ nach Bogen 17 ausfüllen.
Die Kritik habe ich deutlich formuliert, indem ich ihm gesagt habe, dass all seine Filme nach dem selben Muster gstrickt sind. Die Lösung wäre Abwechslung.

Dafür, dass du sagst, dass alle "dumbass children [...] just kill yourself" und dich selbst als weißer Ritter dieses Threads siehst, klingt es für mich ganz nach so einem kid. Das hier ist ein öffentliches Forum. Jeder darf seine Meinung kundtun, solange sie nicht... [bitte im Grundgesetz weiterlesen]

well.. everyone knows you doing your videos alone at home. there is nothing wrong with it, you do it in your free time, there is nothing wrong with this,too. you dont need a crew and a studio to do a good video. i know you have the skills, your videos are far from crap, but they could be much better.
nobody wants you to do a movie with the quality of a cinema blockbuster trilogy, that is impossible. nobody expects great animations, like in avatar. you're not an animator in the first place, you're a moviemaker.
creating a good movie, is not depended on your hardware. you can buy a 10times better PC and your movies may still look the same. its not the PC thats cuts the movies, it's still you.

well if you ask about game movies, i cant help you, caused by the fact that i am not playing that much, i never did any game movies. if you can give me some good hours of raw material from silkroad, i may can do something if i find the time (everybody has work to do)..
and there is one more thing, i said it in my previous post, and i will repeat it:

nobody wants you do bring one average video after another... take your time. this is the most important tip i can give you. better to do 3 really good movies a year, than 20 crappy ones.

To all:
Have you reviewed your posts, the language you used? Partially it was quite offensive. If you write things like "selfish idiot", "grow up" or just a simple "boring", it's no wonder, that wiNt feels insulted. That's natural. You can't expect to get your critics taken into mind, then. So watch your language, especially when critisizing.

To wiNt:
You have to understand the ppl: they write the same critics over and over again. But you still make the same mistakes. It's no surprise that they get frustrated by that. What mostly follows is that their language might become a bit offensive. That's no excuse but an explanation. You have to understand this before getting too angry and offensive, yourself. I'm saying this because here, in this thread, you don't seem to be able to cope with critics. I know that their critics were a bit offensive, partially, but you have to learn to cope with that. It's simple: the more success you have, the more critics you get. And not every critic is a hater. Even if the critic might be slightly offensive - for yourself, you have to extract the valid points and accept them to improve. Additionally a newbie is rated different than someone with 30+ vids. Ppl expect another level of quality from a "veteran" than from a newbie.
Apart from that these ppl that critisized you here have written some valid points. Think about them.
Don't be insulted if you get a low rating. If you block your mind for the contents of posts only because of a low rating, you have a high chance to read the most honest critics.
I also told you in the past that you should never ask ppl for their own vids when they critisize you. Ppl don't have to make movies themselves or study film making to be able to critisize.
From what I have read here it seems that you learned nothing from our last discussion. I've written over many of this before in your last thread.

To realize (now in german):
Nach dem was ich hier gelesen habe, bist du der einzige, der hier hatet und flamet. Vergleich in ´ner ruhigen Minute mal die Posts derer, die du kritisierst und deine eigenen (insbes. die Sprache). Ich denke, da wird dir sofort was auffallen.
Außerdem sind wir hier in ´nem öffentlichen Forum und in keiner förmlichen (Schul-)Diskussion. Es sollte bei allen Beteiligten angekommen sein, dass die Texte in Posts selbstverständlich die eigene Meinung darstellen und keine allgemeingültige - es sei denn das wird explizit erwähnt. Also schreibe anderen nicht vor, welche Redewendungen sie zu verwenden haben. Außerdem gibt es Ausnahmen, in denen es durchaus angebraucht is, allgemeingültig zu schreiben, zB nämlich wenn man im Rahmen seiner Ausbildung mit diesem Gebiet zu tun hat und dort deshalb allgemeingültige Regeln lernt oder wenn man anderweitig zeigt, dass man Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet hat. Das nur mal am Rande.
Dein Kleinkrieg gegen die dt. Mentalität ist zwar ein interessantes Diskussionsthema aber hat hier nix zu suchen. Wenn du Lust hast, führ das doch im Philosophieforum fort. Dennoch will ich dir an diesem Bsp mitgeben, dass du hier das beste Bsp. für das bist, was du bemängelst. Deine Rants toppen in der Hinsicht alles andere in diesem Thread. Und verwechsle bitte Kritik nicht mit negativer Attitüde.

I could say a lot here. But I won't. The reason is: You don't seem to have learned anything from our last discussion. I don't see any step forward. So you can read almost everything I would say in your last thread. I don't feel like repeating myself.
Apart from that: You said, this vid is a quality test or something. Then just make it look like that. Don't try to create a pseudo-story for it, which only can be a bad one. Save your time and make it perfectly clear, that this is a test. I, personally, can't expect any movie that is made within 6 hours to be a good one. That's especially the case for movies that try to have a story. If you make clear that your movie is a test without tellling a story, ppl's expectations will be others.

*hust* Ich vertrete auch die Meinung von realize. Natürlich muss man kein Videomaker sein um Videos bewerten zu können, aber Ihr wollt einfach immer 100% und wiNt gibt sein bestes, aber wie immer ist es nicht genug.
